Kenny Swope, Architecture Integration & Interoperability Standards team within Engineering Test & Technology, Boeing Commercial Airplanes
Kenneth (Kenny) Swope leads Boeing’s Architecture Integration & Interoperability Standards team within Engineering Test & Technology and is responsible for the set of architecture products that describe Boeing’s multiple lines of business from strategic objectives through the data standards that enable the digital twin. With over 26 years at Boeing, Kenny has led projects in manufacturing research, machine tool control systems, industrial engineering, engineering change management, and program management. In addition, Kenny is Chair of ISO/TC 184/SC 4 - Industrial Data where over 700 international standards critical to product data definition, interoperability and smart manufacturing are defined. Kenny is recognized as an expert in multiple ISO/IEC activities around Smart Manufacturing, Digital Twin, and Machine Readable Standards.
Kenny holds a master’s degree in Engineering Management from Washington State University, a Bachelor of Science degree in Mechanical Engineering from the Missouri University of Science & Technology, and a Bachelor of Arts degree in Physics from the University of Central Missouri. Outside Boeing, Kenny is active in his local 4-H organization through Washington State University as a technology program leader and mentor to teams in FIRST Robotics and FIRST Lego League.
