John Snow is Research Director for Product Innovation Strategies, part of IDC’s Future of Industry Ecosystems practice. His research includes product design, simulation, and innovation, specifically focusing on strategies and technology that improve cost, time, and quality of new product development and introduction.
After starting his career as a mechanical engineer, John has worked for the past 30 years in the IT industry at startups and established global companies developing product design and manufacturing software, Product Lifecycle Management (PLM), Enterprise Content Management (ECM), and Service Lifecycle Management (SLM) solutions for a variety of industries including automotive, aerospace and defense (A&D), high-tech, medical, and heavy equipment. His roles have spanned sales, product management, partnerships, and marketing. Most recently, he served as Chief Marketing Officer (CMO) at Centerity Systems (AIOps & ITOM) and before that as CMO of CaseBank Technologies (AI-driven troubleshooting and fault isolation). He has been instrumental in executing successful technology mergers and acquisitions.
John holds an M.A. in Religion, Leadership, and Business Ethics from Gordon-Conwell Theological Seminary, a B.S. in Mechanical Engineering from Worcester Polytechnic Institute, and is a frequent speaker, presenter, and moderator at industry events.
