Invention Machine Expands Executive Management Team
Invention Machine Corporation announced that Jeff Boehm and Jeff Jarvis have joined the company as Vice President of Marketing and Strategy and Vice President of North American Sales, respectively. In addition, Don Freitas has been promoted to Vice President of Global Finance and Administration.
"Invention Machine experienced a record year in 2006 across all business metrics and the market is clearly embracing our unique approach to dramatically improving manufacturing return on innovation," said Mark E. Atkins, Chairman, President and CEO of Invention Machine. "Now is the time to invest in the sales and marketing machine to capitalize on the product and infrastructural work of the past years, and I'm pleased to welcome Jeff Boehm and Jeff Jarvis to spearhead our marketing and US sales growth.
Boehm brings to Invention Machine more than 15 years of enterprise software marketing experience. As Vice President of Marketing and Strategy, Boehm leads the company's corporate marketing programs and overall market strategy. Boehm joins Invention Machine from Endeca, where he held a variety of marketing and operational leadership positions, fueling explosive growth over his four and a half year tenure. Prior to Endeca, Boehm led Product Marketing at Ascential Software, playing a key role in the organic growth and strategic acquisitions that drove Ascential to become a recognized leader in enterprise data integration, and ultimately a key acquisition in IBM's information management strategy. Boehm has also held marketing and product management positions at Alphablox, Idiom Technologies, and Business Objects.
With more than 20 years of enterprise software sales management experience, Jarvis has a track record of building sales velocity in early stage companies as well as at larger public corporations. As Vice President of North American Sales, Jarvis is chartered with expanding Invention Machine's sales operations and reach throughout North America. Jarvis joins Invention Machine from Kronos Incorporated, a leading provider of workforce management solutions. There, Jarvis served as Area Director, managing sales and business operations in the Northeast. Previously, Jarvis built and managed sales organizations at Responsys and Arbor Software (now Hyperion Solutions). Jarvis also held sales and major account roles with McCormack and Dodge (later known as Dun & Bradstreet Software).
Don Freitas has been promoted to Invention Machine's Vice President of Corporate Global Finance and Administration, chartered with overseeing all of Invention Machine's global financial operations. Freitas is a CPA with more than 15 years experience in various aspects of the corporate accounting environment including strategic planning, financial reporting, cash and budget management, consolidations and acquisitions, debt restructuring, taxation, and internal auditing. Prior to joining Invention Machine, Freitas served as the Director of Corporate Accounting for Vality Technology (now part of IBM), the industry's leading supplier of data quality software for the ERP, CRM, and business intelligence markets. Freitas has also held senior accounting positions at Morris & Morris, Thevenin, O'Grady & Co., LLP, and Wearguard.
"Don has been an integral player in evolving Invention Machine to profitability and financial stability during his tenure," added Atkins. "Freitas' role in working with Jarvis and Boehm and the rest of the management team will help drive greater revenue growth and profitability in 2007 and beyond."
