Paul Hermelin, CEO of the Capgemini Group, Implements a new Structure in Europe and Strengthens his Management Team
In line with the Group's strategy around the I3 transformation plan -industrialisation, innovation, intimacy - announced at the end of 2006, Paul Hermelin, CEO of the Capgemini Group, has implemented a new European structure and made several new appointments in order to strengthen his Management Team.
Technology and Consulting activities in Europe and Asia Pacific are now grouped into two regional units:
"CEA" (Continental Europe and Asia Pacific) - which includes Benelux, the Nordic region, Germany, Eastern Europe, Italy and Asia Pacific - and the "West Europe" unit, which brings together France, the UK and Ireland, Spain and Portugal.
Henk Broeders will be CEO of Capgemini CEA. Philippe Donche-Gay has been named CEO of Capgemini West Europe. Salil Parekh has been named Executive Chairman of India. His main responsibilities will be integrating Financial Services activities of Kanbay International - once the acquisition has been confirmed -, driving growth for Capgemini in India, as well as developing the local market. Salil Parekh was previously CEO of the Project & Consulting Services unit in North America. Baru Rao will remain CEO of Capgemini India.
In North America, Lanny Cohen succeeds Salil Parekh as CEO for Project & Consulting Services. His role will be to continue the recovery in North America to turn the Group into a market leader in this market and to support the integration of Kanbay International operations, outside of Financial Services, once the acquisition has been confirmed. Lanny Cohen was formerly in charge of Project & Consulting Services for the East region in North America.
Gilles Taldu has been named Director of Outsourcing Services Europe, reporting to Paul Spence, the Group's Director of Global Outsourcing. Gilles was previously Capgemini's Global Delivery Director. François Hucher succeeds Gilles Taldu as Global Delivery Director, reporting to Nicolas Dufourcq, Group CFO.
