Dick Weisinger Joins Formtek Executive Office

Formtek, Inc., a provider of advanced Enterprise Content Management (ECM) software and services headquartered in California, announced the promotion of Dick Weisinger to Vice President & Chief Technologist. Dick has been with Formtek since 1994, most recently as Chief Technologist, and he brings more than 25 years of experience from the software technology industry to the job. In his new position, Dick will continue to define Formtek's product vision, architect the overall product strategy, and lead a team of developers in creating next-generation enterprise software.

Dick is responsible for the product development of Formtek | OrionT including all platforms, languages and releases. Formtek | Orion is best known for its scalability, security and high reliability in mission critical environments. As Formtek's Chief Technologist, Dick has led product initiatives that have incorporated core technologies like Java, .NET and Web Services, and that have involved integrations with software technologies from SAP, Microsoft, Adobe, AutoDesk and Spicer.

As a software technologist, Dick's career spans many projects and organizations where he has contributed to software solutions used in finance, engineering, discrete manufacturing, aerospace/defense and research applications.

At Formtek , Dick served in a variety of technical leadership positions including international and technical consulting assignments in Japan and Sweden. Prior to Formtek, Dick held senior software engineering positions at ViewStar Corporation, Impell Computer Systems and GE/Calma. He was also involved with scientific computing and statistical analysis in support of mechanical and geothermal engineering projects at Lawrence Livermore National Laboratories, Sandia National Laboratories and Los Alamos National Laboratories.

Dick earned a Masters of Engineering Science in Operations Research from the University of California at Berkeley, a Masters of Engineering Science in Materials Science from the Johns Hopkins University and a Bachelors of Engineering Science in Electrical Engineering from the Johns Hopkins University.
