Pai Lung Quickens Customer Response Time with PTC Product Development System® - Leading Knitting Machine Manufacturer Leverages Pro/ENGINEER® and Windchill® to Improve Design Collaboration and Manage Data Control
PTC announced that Pai Lung Machinery Mill Co., Ltd, one of the world's leading circular knitting machine manufacturers and one of the fastest growing companies in the textile machinery industry, implemented the PTC® Product Development System (PDS), including PTC Pro/ENGINEER® and PTC Windchill®, as its collaborative product development platform. With the PDS, Pai Lung's design team has been able to minimize repeated efforts and interpretation errors, increase its design capabilities and manufacturing efficiencies as well as dramatically reduce overall product development time.
Pai Lung, headquartered in Taiwan, designs and manufactures comprehensive, cutting-edge knitting machines that cater to the needs of customers in over 70 countries around the world. Pai Lung began their product development technology evaluation to improve its response time for a growing number of customers in an increasingly competitive textile industry. After completing this evaluation of leading solutions, Pai Lung decided to adopt Pro/ENGINEER as its 3D MCAD solution for product design, and Windchill for content and process management. With the PTC Product Development System in place, Pai Lung successfully streamlined its design and purchasing process, cut parts purchasing process from 1 day to 1 hour and key component design time from 2 days to 20 minutes.
