AVEVA Releases Latest Product Range at New Shanghai Office

AVEVA released its latest product portfolio - AVEVA Marine here today. This portfolio includes a range of design and production tools that are integrated with open project lifecycle management solutions.

Coinciding with the release was the opening ceremony of AVEVA China Marine Division's new office and the signing of a multimillion USD license agreement with Sinopacific Shipbuilding Group Co., Ltd.

Representing Sinopacific was company chairman and CEO, Simon Liang. Sinopacific will be investing in AVEVA's set of marine design and engineering solutions - AVEVA Marine and AVEVA NET. This agreement was signed on the same week as AVEVA releases AVEVA Marine, therefore Sinopacific being the first customer in China adopting this engineering solution.

At the function, Richard Longdon, Chief Executive of AVEVA Group, said:

"AVEVA is dedicated to playing a part in increasing China's shipbuilding capabilities. Our solutions, namely AVEVA Marine have been the result of many years of shipbuilding and offshore engineering development and collaborative partnerships with industrial leaders. AVEVA believes that China's shipbuilding industry will stand to gain from AVEVA Marine's cutting-edge technologies which have been proven in 18 of the world's top 20 shipyards."

Peter Finch, President, AVEVA Asia Pacific, said:

"AVEVA's expansion here is in line with China's rise in shipbuilding. As the industry grows, we continue to welcome new customers such as Sinopacific Shipbuilding Group Co., Ltd. on board. Our relocation to the new office will provide more space for specialist support services, training needs and other customer requirements."
