Telelogic Signs Global Agreement with Thales

Telelogic announced that it has signed a 4 year strategic 10 million Euro agreement with Thales for the provision of licenses and maintenance.

The agreement with Thales globally includes new license and maintenance on their existing investment for; Telelogic DOORS® for requirements definition, analysis and management, Telelogic Rhapsody® for Model Driven Development of Embedded Systems and System ArchitectT for enterprise architecture and business process modeling. Included in the deal is the maintenance extension for Telelogic LogiscopeT for static code quality analysis.

The agreement enables Thales to efficiently roll out Telelogic's powerful solution for enterprise lifecycle management globally and across wide range of projects in the context of the new Thales Systems and Software Engineering Workbench: Orchestra.

"Telelogic has worked closely with Thales to understand their development and business needs. It is due to this successful relationship and our leading solutions that Thales took the decision to extend and expand their existing agreement with Telelogic," said Anders Lidbeck, President and CEO of Telelogic. "The agreement further strengthens our relationship with a global giant in the aerospace and defense industry and is another endorsement of Telelogic's ability to deliver against the requirements of this most demanding market."

Dominique VERNAY, VP Research and Technologies of THALES, said: "Innovation and technical leadership are key differentiators in all our markets, Defense, Aerospace and Security. THALES has established an innovation eco-system, including academic laboratories, universities and industrials, where high-tech SMEs play a key role both as research partners and as technology providers. The agreement between THALES and Telelogic exemplifies this strategy. It will ensure sustained R&D collaboration in the area of engineering technologies through the integration of COTS products in the Thales engineering workbench and the dissemination in the larger market of the TREK add on to DOORS, a technology initially developed by THALES."
