Consona ERP Announces Technology Partnership With Omnify Software; IntuitiveT ERP Gains Extended PLM Functionality With Integration; Plan Unveiled to Extend Partnership to Made2Manage® ERP

Consona ERP announced a formal technology partnership with Omnify Software. The companies, who were recently honored with a START-IT Power of Partnerships award based on the success of mutual customers, solidified their relationship with a formal ERP-PLM alliance, as well as shared sales, services and support for both existing and future customers.

The integration between Intuitive ERP and the Omnify PLM solution allows small and midsize manufacturers to share and synchronize engineering and manufacturing data through an automated process. Manufacturers with sophisticated engineering requirements can utilize the Omnify system to manage product data, such as component information, bill of materials, documentation, engineering changes and compliance data. Pertinent information is automatically passed to Intuitive ERP, where it is integrated into the system's financial, distribution, and manufacturing modules.

"Both enterprise resource planning and product lifecycle management bring unique value to an operation, but when combined, provide a streamlined, collaborative environment that bridges the gap between manufacturing and engineering," said David Whitney, vice president of strategic sales for Omnify Software. "We have seen the value Intuitive ERP delivers to its small and midsize manufacturing customers and are happy to be selected to add to that value. This partnership is a natural fit due to our common technology platforms, target market, and success of mutual customers."

"Product lifecycle management is a very hot topic with our customers right now," said Scott Malia, general manager of Consona ERP. "Managing the product lifecycle data closely and minimizing the time it takes to get products to market is of paramount importance to today's manufacturers. We are thrilled to be offering our customers extended functionality in the PLM area by partnering with one of the leaders in the PLM space."

Breakaway Imaging, a Littleton, Mass.-based manufacturer of medical imaging equipment, uses an integrated Omnify-Intuitive solution to streamline the engineering of sophisticated 3D machines used in operating rooms, emergency rooms, intensive care units, and trauma centers throughout the world. "With the integration, we can automatically load new parts and engineering changes from Omnify into Intuitive ERP, which helps us work quickly to meet customer requirements and deliver on time," said Wolfgang Krull, vice president of operations and supply chain. "Both solutions working together are helping Breakaway Imaging maintain FDA-regulated documentation standards, as well as address growing worldwide business requirements."

As part of the formal partnership, a PLM integration also will be developed for Consona ERP's other flagship software application, Made2Manage ERP. "The Made2Manage customer base will see the very same benefits our Intuitive users have seen, including reduced data duplication, faster product development lifecycles, and an improved go-to-market process," said Malia. "Part of the advantage of housing multiple product lines within Consona ERP is leveraging the functionality and partnerships of one product line to enhance another. We're looking forward to delivering enhanced PLM tools to our Made2Manage users in the near future."
