ESPRIT 2008 on Display at MSV 2007, Brno, Czech Republic, Oct. 1-5, 2007

Upgrades available in ESPRIT 2008, created DP Technology, will be on display when the software is featured at MSV 2007 , 49th International Engineering Fair, to take place in Brno, Czech Republic, Oct. 1-5.

ESPRIT 2008 will be showcased at the fair, considered the largest engineering show in Central Europe, in pavilion V, booth 055, which belongs to INTOS spol s.r.o., a Czech machine tool builder that produces lathe and milling machines.

ESPRIT 2008 will be presented at the INTOS booth by Pimpel s.r.o., a Czech reseller for DP Technology that will exhibit ESPRIT in conjunction with its CheckitB4 product, powered by ESPRIT and the Siemens VNCK kernel, which is the Siemens 840D control. Visitors to the booth can expect demonstrations of the product, as well as interaction with staff from Pimpel.

The Austria-based Pimpel, which is partnering with INTOS for the show, recently opened Pimpel s.r.o., a new company that caters to the needs of the Czech and Slovakian markets, in Opava, Czech Republic.

The new open pocket feature and open pocket machining cycles in ESPRIT 2008 combine to offer greater machining flexibility and improved cycle times when machining pockets with a combination of open edges and closed walls. These new machining cycles will allow the tool to hang partially over the open edge to improve the edge finish and provide a more constant cutter load throughout the cutting cycle.

Numerous other additions and enhancements were made to ESPRIT in support of improving the productivity of both the milling programmer and milling machine tool. They include faster calculation times for building 3D toolpath, new adaptive facing machining cycles offering dramatically improved cycle times, an all new operation manager that simplifies the CNC programmer's job of organizing machining processes and cutting tools, and new feature groups that allow the programmer to more easily manage the machining conditions for a collection of similar part features.

Improvements built into ESPRIT 2008 and on display at MSV 2007 enhance the performance of the CAM software by reducing the time required to produce part programs while increasing the quality of those programs and helping to reduce machining cycle times. These enhancements include significant improvements for milling, turning and wire EDM programming, and will be exhibited at MSV 2007.
