TradeStone Factory Footprint Aims to Eliminate Recalls and Ensure Product Safety

TradeStone Software announced TradeStone customers have gone live with TradeStone's new quality and social compliance tool - the TradeStone Factory FootprintT. A highly visible issue today for retailers is ensuring that products and the factories that produce sold goods are safe and conform to specific development guidelines. The TradeStone Factory Footprint is seamlessly embedded and integrated into the retailer/wholesalers' product development, sourcing and order process, allowing merchants to rest easy that the factories they are using or considering for production are operating and adhering to key rules and regulations. It also assures vendors are meeting the social, legal and ethical high standards set up by each retailer/wholesaler to guarantee all goods are compliant and tested for safe delivery.

The TradeStone Factory Footprint gives retailers enhanced visibility into supplier factory operations minimizing the risks associated with product safety, regulatory compliance and potentially late deliveries. Furthermore, the TradeStone Factory Footprint allows retailers to set up vendor and factory compliance inspections, schedule audits automatically, track product testing results and reschedule key tests based on those results. In addition, the TradeStone Factory Footprint gives vendors and factories easy access to appropriate Code of Conduct documentation and certification requirements based on products produced and countries involved in the trading.

"As experts in integrated PLM for retail solutions, we understand and value the importance of compliance for retailers, especially given the national headlines recently around manufacturing errors that lead to product recalls," said Sue Welch, CEO for TradeStone Software. "Since introducing the Factory Footprint, our customers are knocking down our door to integrate this product into their solutions. We are thrilled that the Factory Footprint is bringing peace of mind to key executives and stakeholders."

The TradeStone Factory Footprint will also alert retailers in real-time if there is a problem in a factory, to guarantee that appropriate actions are taken immediately and the supply chain is not affected. This detailed view of the supply chain offers a better way for retailers to monitor production and track orders, while being assured that the factories producing those orders are complying with regulations and policies.
