MDTVISION Launches PRELUDE V5 Inspect, a Full-Featured 3D Metrology Software Based on Dassault Systèmes' V5 Architecture

With its new software PRELUDE V5 Inspect, MDTVISION enables digital continuity for V5 data, from design to production quality control.

PRELUDE V5 Inspect is designed for the preparation, simulation, execution, and validation of three-dimensional part-programs, the analysis of part dimension quality, and the control of manufacturing processes. PRELUDE V5 Inspect is a full-featured 3D metrology software offering both on-line and off-line modes and analysis. Its functionalities benefit from Prelude INSPECTION software and the know-how of MDTVISION. PRELUDE V5 Inspect fulfils all your inspection needs and lets you design systematic, standard-compliant quality control.

Independent toward measurement equipment vendors, PRELUDE V5 Inspect guarantees optimal usage of many types of measurement machine or device, with or without contact.

Digital continuity for V5 data

Based on Dassault Systèmes' CAA V5 architecture, PRELUDE V5 Inspect is integrated in V5 environment. This architecture enables completely natural data exchanges between Design, Manufacturing and Quality Control Departments.

Among key strengths of PRELUDE V5 Inspect, note the ergonomy and homogeneity of CATIA V5 user interface, direct access to native CATIA V4 and CATIA V5 data and to FT&A tolerancing, automatic integration of inspection data in PPR tree (Product Process Resource) and interactive exchanges between measurement and design workshops.

"The integration of PRELUDE V5 Inspect in V5 environment guarantees the quality and the coherence of 3D data through product lifecycle and favours the interactive exchanges between design and metrology, explains Jean-Claude Bozec, Quality Control Expert, MDTVISION. For V5 users, it is also more comfortable and easier to manipulate a well-known graphic interface."

"PRELUDE V5 Inspect is based on the same V5 kernel as the Dassault Systemes products which provides a significant productivity gains to the V5 customers in the inspection domain working in the 3D PLM environment", says Minal Santhosh, Manager CAA Partnerships, DELMIA.

Available October 1st, 2007

PRELUDE V5 Inspect is marketed in France and abroad by MDTVISION and Dassault Systèmes and by their respective distribution networks. PRELUDE V5 Inspect will be available October 1st, 2007
