Invensys and innotec Extend Successful Partnership

Invensys Process Systems ( http://www.ips.invensys.com/ ) and innotec GmbH ( http://www.innotec.com/ ) announced that the two companies have extended an existing sales, marketing, and support partnership to enable Invensys to resell and support the full range of Comos® plant engineering lifecycle management modules on a global basis. The previous partnership agreement, signed in December 2003, was designed to provide an integrated solution between innotec's Comos® FEED module and the SimSci-Esscor PRO/II® process design simulation solution. This was well-received by EPCs (engineering procurement contractors) and owner operators alike and has resulted in improved engineering and design productivity for process industry customers around the world. Under the extended partnership announced today, Invensys will provide sales, support, and services for all Comos® modules, including P&ID, Electrical, Instrumentation, and document management capabilities. Invensys and innotec anticipate that this will provide significant additional benefits for customers as well as incremental revenues for both companies.

innotec's object-oriented Comos® lifecycle asset management system makes all relevant engineering design and related data and documents readily available in a single database and integrates with a wide variety of third-party systems. This complements Invensys' own object-oriented InFusion® enterprise control system technology, which simplifies the integration of Invensys and third-party operations, maintenance, and business systems across a single plant or an entire global enterprise into a common application environment. In combination, the innotec and Invensys offerings can provide EPCs and owner operators with a comprehensive Design-Operate-Maintain lifecycle information solution for improved asset performance management.

"Invensys has been very pleased with the value that Comos® FEED has given our customers," commented Tobias Scheele, vice president and general manager of the SimSci-Esscor unit at Invensys Process Systems. "We look forward to helping our customers achieve even greater productivity improvements during detailed engineering phases and through the improved engineering document management capability that the Comos® suite provides."

"Invensys is a key strategic partner of innotec, providing a global, world-class sales and support organization. We expect this partnership to better support innotec customers worldwide," commented Stephan Rohleder, managing partner innotec.
