UGS PLM Software Hosts Digital Manufacturing Seminar in Korea

UGS PLM Software , a division of Siemens Automation and Drives ( A&D ) will host its UGS PLM Software Digital Manufacturing Solution Seminar on Sept. 4 at the Grand Intercontinental Hotel in Seoul. The seminar will provide insight to help companies make their digital manufacturing strategy a reality and will give attendees a chance to learn more about the company's latest digital manufacturing solution, UGS TecnomatixT 8 software.

Digital manufacturing is a set of technologies within PLM that focuses on improving every aspect of how a company builds its products. Many of the world's most forward-thinking manufacturers are embracing the technology - and have reported a number of benefits such as better asset utilization, reduced launch times, more predictable processes and improved profitability.

A variety of topics will be covered during the seminar for participants to obtain information in order to implement and deploy digital manufacturing strategies, including UGS PLM Software's digital manufacturing strategies and directions for local manufacturing companies to accelerate innovation on their production processes and success stories from such customers as Doosan Infracore using digital manufacturing solutions. The seminar will be joined by many partners such as Microsoft, Motion Captures, Citek and Space Solution.

"Through this upcoming event, UGS PLM Software will introduce breakthrough digital manufacturing solutions that will help companies transform their knowledge into innovative solutions for future growth," said Ron Close, vice president of Asia Pacific Marketing, UGS PLM Software. "We are confident that the customer-driven improvements in Tecnomatix® 8 have direct applicability to our customers' business objectives and look forward to sharing ideas with them."

Tecnomatix® 8 is UGS PLM Software's latest digital manufacturing software solution, which enables companies to improve manufacturing predictability and quality by better anticipating potential shop floor issues originating in product or process design. Tecnomatix 8 enhancements fall into two major categories - added strength for its industry leading PLM integration and the introduction of a next generation process planning and simulation capability. The result is enhanced predictability from product development to the shop floor, enabling companies to improve the manufacturability of product designs and to design robust, reliable and optimized manufacturing processes.
