Mayerton Group signs major deal with IFS to standardize its global operations
IFS, the global enterprise applications company, today announced that Mayerton Group has chosen IFS Applications to manage its global business with greater agility. The contract is valued at just over $1m and will deploy IFS Applications across the entire Mayerton Group's operations.
The Mayerton Group has its headquarters in the Isle of Man, UK, a major manufacturing operation in China, and a global sales operation. The Group is a leading manufacturer and supplier of high quality refractories and tailor-made refractory solutions for the global iron and steel and non-ferrous industries.
"We are expanding our business and have recently added to our existing facilities in China by constructing the world's most advanced refractory brick producing plant," Mayerton Group Chief Operations Officer Adam Clayton said. "As part of that expansion we needed to look at our internal systems and after a review of the marketplace, and shortlisting IFS, SAP and Oracle, we have chosen IFS to support our global operations. We need a scaleable and agile solution which can be deployed quickly combined with the ability to run our global operations. IFS met those requirements and had a close cultural match to our business."
Paul Massey, Managing Direcor, IFS UK, says "IFS is very pleased to be partnering the Mayerton Group. They have invested heavily in new automated production facilities and IFS Applications will help automate the supply chain processes thus enabling them to continue providing the excellent customer service they achieve today".
The process industry is one of IFS' seven targeted markets. IFS provides industry-specific functionality for enterprises in the metals, pulp and paper, food and beverage, and chemicals segments. IFS Applications for the process industry provides support for all critical business processes, including reliability-centered maintenance (RCM), overall equipment effectiveness (OEE), plant design, maintenance management, standardized real-time automation integration, order handling, manufacturing management, quality management, and demand planning. The application suite includes a complete asset and product lifecycle management solution.
IFS customers in the metals industry include Hutmen, SSAB, HMN Szopienice, WM Dziedzice, Nucor Corp., Elkem AS, and Surahammars Bruk. Other IFS process industry customers include Stora Enso, Holmen Paper, SCA Graphics, Pepsi, Iams, V&S Absolut Spirits, DuPont, Flint Group, Willamette Valley Co., Akzo Nobel, Becker Industrial Coatings, Jotun, and SICPA.
