PROSTEP Offers ENOVIA MatrixOne Federated EBOM Adaplet
PROSTEP AG has now joined the ranks of selected CAA partners to Dassault Systèmes. Within the framework of this partnership, PROSTEP has expanded its range of PLM integration products to include an ENOVIA MatrixOne Federated EBOM Adaplet. The solution, which is completely integrated in ENOVIA MatrixOne, allows users to use the reliable integration platform OpenPDM to access parts and assemblies and their metadata in third-party PDM systems, such as Agile PLM, Teamcenter, Pro/INTRALINK and SAP PLM, without having to leave their familiar working environment.
The ENOVIA MatrixOne connector, which has already firmly established itself on the market, has also been included as a product in the CAA Adopter partnership. This allows PROSTEP to use this connector together with OpenPDM and OpenDXM in integration and data exchange projects.
"The introduction of ENOVIA MatrixOne Federated EBOM and the signing of the contract with Dassault Systèmes are important components in creating strategic integration solutions based on service-oriented architecture (SOA)", stated Dr. Bernd Pätzold, CEO of PROSTEP AG, with regard to the cooperation with Dassault Systèmes. "This means that PROSTEP is one of IBM's first PLM SOA integration partners to ensure that actions follow words and introduce functional solution components for the Product Development Integration Framework." IBM PDIF is an open platform that facilitates the process-oriented integration of heterogeneous PDM system using reusable Web services.
With the help of ENOVIA MatrixOne Federated EBOM, Matrix users can integrate objects and the corresponding files from other PDM systems in their BOMs online and in real time. This has the advantage that they no longer need to leave their familiar working environment in order to perform operations involving third-party data. The functions required to import data are provided by the OpenPDM integration platform via OMG PLM Services. The SOA-based architecture and the graphical mapping familiar from OpenPDM allow ENOVIA MatrixOne Federated EBOM to be configured quickly, which means that the software can be used productively within a few days. No modifications to the ENOVIA Matrix application or other integrated PDM systems are required for implementation.
