Global PLM Consultancy CENIT Joins Dassault Systèmes North American Channel

Dassault Systèmes (DS) announced that international PLM consultancy CENIT North America has joined DS's reseller channel, bringing 20 years of manufacturing technology experience to DS customers in the United States. The CENIT-Dassault Systèmes channel partnership gives manufacturing customers the expertise to consolidate their enterprise applications into a unified environment that promotes innovation, quality, and shorter time to market.

"CENIT North America has signed on as a DS business partner in North America to provide customers with integrated solutions that reduce design time and improve manufacturing quality," said Kurt Bengel, a member of CENIT`s executive board. "We've had a very profitable European reseller partnership with DS , and we're looking forward to extending it to the North American market. Over the next 12 months, we will especially focus on the DELMIA brand to take advantage of expected growth in the digital manufacturing market."

CENIT North America draws on 20 years of DS experience through its European parent company, a long-time DS reseller that has implemented CATIA, ENOVIA and DELMIA solutions for a broad range of companies including Allianz, BMW, DaimlerChrysler, EADS Airbus, LBS, Metro, AXA and Volkswagen. CENIT helps customers integrate DS PLM solutions into their IT infrastructures to provide more cohesiveness and operational efficiency across functional areas, such as engineering, manufacturing and marketing.

"CENIT's products and professional services have allowed us to have confidence in programming our machine tools," said Jason Rohr, CAD manager at CENIT customer Globe Engineering in Wichita, KS. Globe specializes in the fabrication of precision parts for the aircraft and aerospace industry. "Our first contact with CENIT was in 1998, when we were recovering from a catastrophic collision caused by inferior programming sent to one of our machines. Since we enlisted CENIT's help, we have had no such events and feel that the risk or likelihood has been all but eliminated. The quality of CENIT's products and people enable us to enjoy a fine working relationship today, almost 10 years later."

CENIT's own solutions are based on DS's component application architecture (CAA), which ensures smooth interoperability between DS and partner solutions.

"CENIT and Dassault Systèmes have had a successful relationship in the European market and developed a reputation for bringing value to manufacturing customers. We are looking forward to the same kind of success in North America," said Jim Ryan, Dassault Systèmes vice president, channel sales, North America.
