ACS Software, Inc. Release SR3 Update for Version 6.5 of the AutoEDMST Document Management & Workflow Solution

ACS Software, Inc., the developer of the AutoEDMS Document Management & Workflow Solution, for workgroups, multi-site enterprises and the Internet, just released the SR3 Update for Version 6.5 of AutoEDMS. This release is a significant upgrade enabling AutoEDMS customers to better manage, share and view their data and digital assets more effectively.

Enhancements include:

•  Viewing-AutoEDMS now offers the aVue viewing system in both Desktop and Client-Server Editions. The features and format support are virtually identical for both platforms. Both provide a single uniform interface, and one comprehensive set of tools for natively viewing and printing various electronic documents. AutoEDMS aVue is state-of-the-art viewing technology that supports all the latest file formats, including AutoCAD 2007/2008 DWG and DWF, MicroStation v8, Acrobat PDF, and Word/Excel 2003.

•  Redlining-AutoEDMS also now offers a new Redline Module, based on the aVue Desktop Edition viewer. The AutoEDMS RM provides non-destructive mark-up and redlining of all its supported file formats. It provides a great method for highlighting suggested changes during a drawing review process.

•  AutoEDMS now provides enhanced support for Workstation Security Controls. AutoEDMS' key settings and internal information are now stored in areas on the workstation that are not normally 'locked down' when workstations are secured by IT controls.

•  Workflow Engine-The redesign of the Workflow Engine provides a major speed improvement, particularly for AutoEDMS systems running in a WAN environment.

•  AutoEDMS Customization Language (ACL)-Dozens of new ACL commands provide additional customization control and options. Todd Hays, President and founder of ACS Software noted, " We're pleased to offer this substantial upgrade to our flagship AutoEDMS Document Management & Workflow Solution. The strong working relationships we have with our customers like Chevron, Western Area Power Administration and Minnkota Power Cooperative help direct our ongoing development efforts."
