WorkNC G3, the New Generation of Automatic CAM/CAD Software, to be Released at EMO
EMO in Hanover will be the official release venue for Sescoi's WorkNC G3 automatic CAM/CAD software. Taking place from 17th to 22nd September, EMO is a leading metalworking trade fair, and attracted over 160,000 visitors from around the world to the 2005 exhibition. WorkNC G3 is the third generation of WorkNC, and features a new integrated ergonomic graphical interface, which combines geometry, analysis, machining and verification into one single environment.
The release of WorkNC G3 also coincides with Sescoi's 20th anniversary year. On the Sescoi booth - H11 in Hall 6 - visitors will be able to see how the new G3 interface simplifies and speeds NC programming. There will also be demonstrations of important advances in 2.5-axis, 3-axis and 5-axis machining . New algorithms provide fluid toolpaths in Z-Level Finishing and Flat Surface Machining including helicoidal transitions between levels, optimizing their performance for high speed machining. 4-axis cutterpaths dedicated to blade machining have been included in the new version, which considers the kinematics of the machine tool to produce finished parts quickly and to a high standard. The new interface extends to 5-axis methodology, which conforms to the format of 3-axis toolpaths, making the most complex 5-axis toolpaths easy to create with an emphasis on speed and smoothness.
In addition to WorkNC G3, visitors will also be able to see the latest version of MyWorkPLAN, Sescoi's job management system for custom manufacturers. Designed for ease of use and fast implementation, the core software now offers options for production planning, advanced bill of materials management, stock control, advanced time management, and purchasing. User friendly Gantt style graphics highlight critical operations and enable appropriate action to be taken to maintain delivery targets.
Sescoi will also be previewing WorkPLAN Enterprise, the new complete ERP for custom manufacturers and successor to WorkPLAN which was launched in the early 90's and now has many hundreds of user companies in multiple countries. Based on a MySQL database, WorkPLAN Enterprise has been built from the bottom up and incorporates Sescoi's 20 years' industry experience and knowhow. It has been designed to work exactly the way best practice custom manufacturers work.
With a live WorkNC machining demo on a DMC75 5-axis machine and the presence of Sescoi engineering & manufacturing management experts, companies wishing to optimize their machining and manufacturing processes will find a visit to the Sescoi booth time well spent.
