INCAT CEO Hosts Tata Sons Executive Director at Company's North American Headquarters

INCAT CEO Warren Harris hosted R. Gopalakrishnan, Executive Director - Tata Sons, at the company's headquarters in Novi, Mich., June 4-6. INCAT, a global leader in Engineering Services Outsourcing (ESO) and Enterprise IT Services, is a part of the Tata Group.

Mr. Gopalakrishnan toured the INCAT North American Engineering and Design Delivery Center in Troy, Mich., and met with the team there that serves automotive, aerospace and other manufacturing client organizations worldwide, in concert with INCAT Delivery Centers in Europe, India and Thailand.

The visit continued with a tour of the INCAT headquarters in Novi and presentations there by key members of the management team regarding INCAT's position in the global market, its strengths and its growth strategies.

A Town Hall meeting was jointly hosted by Mr. Harris and Mr. Gopalakrishnan on June 6 for INCAT employees at the Novi headquarters and carried via conference call to INCAT employees throughout North America and Europe.

"This visit was an important event for INCAT," Harris noted. "Mr. Gopalakrishnan plays a major role in the globalization strategies of the Tata Group and his insights regarding INCAT's position within the Group and its future contributions were invaluable to our employees."

While his agenda was tight, his visit lasting just 36 hours, Mr. Gopalakrishnan had time for a meeting with Oakland County Executive L. Brooks Patterson, arranged by Mr. Harris, on June 5.

The men three discussed the new economy and Mr. Patterson explained "Wireless Oakland," an initiative launched in 2005 to provide wireless Internet access throughout the county; the "Emerging Sectors" program that identifies and cultivates industry and technology sectors that have high growth potential; and "Automation Alley," the now regional initiative attracting high-tech companies to southeast Michigan that was launched in Oakland County in 1997.

INCAT was honored as a leader in Oakland County's "Emerging Sectors" in 2005 and continues to partner with the county in career development, training and education, and economic development opportunities.

Members of the Oakland County Economic Development and Community Affairs Department visited India in March of this year, on a joint mission with the Detroit Regional Economic Partnership and toured Tata Group facilities including Tata Motors.

"The Tata Group and one of its Michigan jewels, INCAT, are vital to the economic health and stability of Oakland County and the state," Patterson said. "INCAT was one of the first high tech companies in our Emerging Sectors business attraction strategy. I'm thrilled they've based their North American headquarters here and look forward to strengthening our relationship as they grow in Oakland County and the region."
