UGS PLM Software Helps Andretti Green Racing Win Back to Back Races and KB Racing Win Six of Eight Races

UGS PLM Software , a division of Siemens Automation and Drives ( A&D ), announced UGS PLM Software-sponsored racing teams Andretti Green Racing and KB Racing - whose cars are developed with the help of UGS PLM Software technology - won the IndyCar® Series Milwaukee A.J. Foyt IndyCar 225 and NHRA Pro Stock O'Reilly NHRA Summer Nationals respectively.

Andretti Green Racing driver Tony Kanaan, the 2004 IndyCar Series champion, won the Milwaukee A.J. Foyt IndyCar 225 for the second consecutive year. This is Kanaan's second IndyCar Series win this year and his ninth career IndyCar Series victory. Teammate Dario Franchitti, who won the Indy 500 last week, finished second and moved into the lead in the IndyCar Series driver championship.

KB Racing's Greg Anderson, the three-time NHRA Pro Stock world champion, won the O'Reilly NHRA Summer Nationals. This win, Anderson's fifth this season, combined with teammate Jason Line's win at the O'Reilly NHRA Spring Nationals gives KB Racing six of the first eight races this season.

"UGS PLM Software congratulates Andretti Green Racing and KB Racing on their tremendous success," said Dave Shirk, executive vice president of Global Marketing for UGS. "The fact that UGS PLM Software sponsored race teams continue to bring home victories week after week is proof that our PLM technology is the best on the race track. UGS PLM Software is helping our race teams win the same way we help our customers win, by providing the best PLM technology in the market."
