Seemage Releases Seemage 4.2
Seemage Inc. ( http://www.seemage.com/ ) announced the worldwide availability of Seemage 4.2. Seemage 4.2 contains dozens of updates and new features that extend Seemage's platform for producing product documentation and service procedures directly from any 3D CAD system.
Seemage 4.2 Extends Performance and Capability Across the Enterprise
Highlights of the important new features available in Seemage 4.2 include:
Automatic regeneration of downstream deliverables . Without the need for any additional servers, Seemage 4.2 now automatically regenerates all product documentation whenever the digital product definition changes. By eliminating requirements for additional servers and integrating easily with PLM systems, Seemage 4.2 offers users and IT administrators the best of all worlds: automation and performance without the headaches of additional servers and system changes.
ProductGrabberT. This revolutionary new capability decreases by orders of magnitude the cost and effort required to create and publish product configurations. With ProductGrabber, manufacturers can easily produce unlimited product variations by simply combining Seemage saved configurations.
Quick search available across the Seemage product line . Seemage is well-known for its superior performance in managing models with tens of thousands of parts. Now, that performance is extended to search in all Seemage authoring and viewing tools, including the free Seemage Player. With quick search, users can easily zero in on the exact information for which they are looking.
Integration with Auto-trol Tech IllustratorT. Seemage 4.2 and Tech Illustrator now deliver the industry's most comprehensive system for producing illustrations that comply with important 2D commercial and governmental standards like S1000D, ATA iSPEC 2200 and WebCGM 2.0. Users can easily transfer Seemage-created 2D content directly into Tech Illustrator format to assure standards compliance.
BOM fidelity . In Seemage 4.2, bill-of-material (BOM) information dynamically changes based on the active product definition. For example, with BOM fidelity, the assembler of a product has access to what components have been used, what components are being used in the current assembly step and what components remain to be completed.

A Complete System for Product Documentation
The Seemage 4.2 system consists of Seemage Viz, Seemage Mockup and Seemage Publisher for creating product content from 3D CAD models. Seemage Player is freely distributable and offers users many useful features in addition to viewing Seemage-authored content.
Seemage 4.2 also includes Seemage Secure3D for security, Seemage Rights Manager for access control, Seemage Importers for data import, Seemage Sync for data synchronization and Seemage Clash for interference checking.
