John Pomeroy Becomes the New Business Unit Director for Cimage

SWORD, the international specialist IT Products and Services Provider and a Microsoft Certified Gold Partner, announced that John Pomeroy has become the new Sales & Marketing Director for the software businesses within Sword, in addition John will be the Business Unit Director for Cimage the specialist Content Management provider. John joins Cimage at a time of exceptional growth, both here in the UK and internationally as far a field as China.

Fusion, the software product from Cimage, is a highly scalable Enterprise Content Management application specifically designed for managing the complex and regulated procedures prevalent in the construction and facilities operation industries. The functionality inherent in Cimage's Fusion product has been developed over years of collaboration with some of the largest construction and operations companies. Cimage Fusion with proven integrations with SAP, Microsoft Office, Outlook and SharePoint significantly reduces the cost and risk associated with managing technical content and provides significant advantages over more generic ECM vendors.

With over 25 years experience in the content management sector John Pomeroy joins SWORD from EMC Corporation where he was responsible for driving the international expansion of the software group managing over half of the EMEA software group revenues. Formerly as European VP for Documentum Inc prior to their acquisition by EMC, John was responsible for building the Northern Europe region into their largest region in Europe.

On his decision to join SWORD John said: "The SWORD Group whilst having grown significantly over recent years has retained an incredible focus on delivering customer value within both their product and services business units. Each business in the group is highly specialised in their particular market, delivering extremely high customer value compared with more generalist organisations. As the market matures I believe customers will move away from large generic platforms with expensive, highly customised applications built on top, to a focus on fit for purpose business applications with interoperability of these across an SOA environment. SWORD are in a unique position to take advantage of this market maturity and have a depth of business understanding and product functionality in their chosen markets that will both delight customers and differentiate them from any competition. In addition to this, the SWORD Group has demonstrated consistent growth and with the successful share offer earlier this year are now perfectly positioned to achieve their strategic growth objectives well into the future. When you fuse these two attributes together it becomes a truly compelling proposition."
