Seemage and Axemble Partner to Improve Product Documentation in Small and Medium Manufacturers

Seemage SA ( http://www.seemage.com/ ) announced that it has appointed Axemble SA as a distributor of the entire Seemage product line. Axemble, a respected CAD and PLM integration firm, is France's largest SolidWorks distributor and is the second largest distributor of SolidWorks in the European Union. Axemble will bring Seemage to the EU's many small and midsize manufacturing companies, helping those businesses eliminate the costly and often-overlooked problem of producing accurate product deliverables quickly and efficiently by reusing SolidWorks 3D design data.

Axemble's experience in serving small- and medium-sized manufacturers leads them to select Seemage as the ideal solution for creating more value from 3D CAD data. In addition, Seemage's ability to easily integrate with PLM systems means that Axemble can offer its customers a more complete solution at lower cost.

"The SMB market represents a strategic target for us and a real growth opportunity," said Christian Donzel, Co-president, Axemble SA. "Seemage's solutions will complement our SolidWorks offerings with functionality we currently do not provide to our customers. It also will allow us to solve product documentation issues that arise outside of the engineering department and increase the number of people able to leverage the power of 3D. We welcome Seemage into our portfolio. It represents a great opportunity to introduce to our customers an additional value proposition that leverages their current PLM and CAD investments."

Seemage is revolutionizing manufacturing, service, technical illustration, maintenance and support with its "product information everyware" technology. Based on open XML standards, Seemage imports a complete digital product definition into Seemage's easy-to-use content creation and management applications. Using Seemage, content creators across the enterprise can reuse 3D CAD information and combine it with critical data like bills-of-material (BOMs) from enterprise resource planning (ERP) systems to create a broad range of product deliverables. Rich deliverables can include animations, technical illustrations, marketing materials and service and support documentation. Seemage's open XML technology provides seamless integration into existing customer processes and enterprise applications. Seemage can be easily incorporated into standard desktop environments to enhance the productivity of content consumers. Further, because Seemage is XML-based, Seemage-authored content is always fully associative to any change in the digital product definition, ensuring users have the latest product information automatically.

"We are very excited to be working with Axemble because they are leaders both technologically and in customer service," said Bruno Delahaye, Vice President Worldwide Sales, Seemage SA. "Seemage offers small- and medium-sized manufacturers a significant opportunity to improve quality and reduce costs. Combined with Axemble's expertise, we are certain that SolidWorks customers will discover many important ways to reuse SolidWorks design data to increase the bottom line."
