Delcam to Sponsor International Toolmaking Conference
Delcam, which was recently confirmed by CIMdata to be the leading supplier of CAM software and services to the global toolmaking industry, announced that it will sponsor the 12th World Conference of the International Special Tooling & Machining Association (ISTMA). The Conference is to be held in Joensuu, Finland, from 11th to 13th June.
ISTMA is an international association representing twenty-five special tooling and machining associations throughout the world. Collectively, ISTMA member associations represent over 8,000 companies and over $40 billion U.S. dollars in annual sales.
The Association meets regularly to review developments affecting the toolmaking industry throughout the world. The theme for the 2007 Conference will be "Meeting the Demands of Globalisation". It will features reports from the various member associations around the world, together with presentations from leading experts from the sector, including representatives of Audi, Nokia and Toyota. Roger Onions, who was recently appointed to the new post of International Business Development Director - Large Accounts at Delcam, will present a paper on "New materials and processes."
