Cohesia Modernizes Application Suite to SOA Using Unify's NXJ Developer
Unify Corp., a global provider of application modernization software to enable Service-Oriented Architecture (SOA), today announced that Cohesia Corporation has modernized its application suite for part specification supply chain management using NXJ Developer.
Cohesia helps large precision-centric manufacturers boost supply chain productivity by managing characteristic identification and precision compliance with First Article Specification requirements. To maintain its leadership role, Cohesia wanted to ensure its customers could easily integrate within strategic IT platforms including ERP, CRM and PLM manufacturing execution systems.
Cohesia performed a comprehensive evaluation of platforms to meet the technical requirements of today and provide a comprehensive development environment for ongoing product enhancements. Their long-time ISV partner, Unify, proved to be the superior choice. With a close working relationship, Unify helped Cohesia complete the application modernization project in just five months.
Cohesia CEO, Jim Kanir, made modernizing the Cohesia product a top company priority and tagged rapid time-to-market as one of the project's goals. "Our customers are continually implementing new process changes to achieve regulatory compliance. Using NXJ Developer, we were able to quickly respond to customer demands for changes in business processes. And, we can now provide customers with the flexibility to modify the application to meet best practices with their organization."
NXJ Developer enables ISV partners to make the transition to SOA through a combination of intuitive visual design, flexible SOA programming, and ease of integration with both Java code and .Net business logic via Web services. Because of its ease of use, developers are highly productive and able to deliver applications in 80 percent less time with NXJ Developer compared to market alternatives. By modernizing applications, ISVs achieve rapid time to market and a competitive edge in delivering their solutions on the latest, standards-based technologies such as Web services and Web 2.0, while adhering to an SOA environment.
