Proficiency Partners with INCAT to Bring Complete CAD Interoperability Solution to World's Largest Manufacturers

Proficiency, Inc . announced that it has entered a partnership with INCAT , a global leader in engineering services outsourcing (ESO) and product-centric IT services.   Through the partnership, the two companies will team up to offer customers throughout North America and the U.K., a complete CAD interoperability solution that combines Proficiency's industry-leading solution with INCAT services.

Under terms of the agreement, INCAT will offer Proficiency's Collaboration GatewayT, an advanced solution that enables the transfer and integration of product knowledge from different CAD systems, as part of its solutions portfolio, and Proficiency will offer INCAT consulting services to its customers as part of its suite of offerings.

Using patented technology, the Collaboration Gateway extracts, enhances and preserves design data and intelligence created in diverse CAD and PDM systems, such as Pro/E, UGS NX, I-deas and CATIA V4 and CATIA V5.   This enables the preservation of product knowledge when migrating from one design environment to another.   It also enables seamless access within the enterprise and supply chain, without giving up control of the embedded intellectual property.

In addition to offering customers advanced engineering and design services, INCAT will offer its customers unique interoperability solutions leveraging its onsite and offshore engineering services.

"We're pleased to partner with INCAT since it enables us to combine Proficiency's technology and expertise with INCAT's dominant engineering services position in the marketplace," said Alex Shapira, CEO of Proficiency, Inc.

"Together, we can expand our market reach and offer a complete interoperability solution to customers who will benefit from innovative solutions and services to extract and leverage product knowledge in multi-CAD environments."

"This partnership with Proficiency expands our offerings in CAD interoperability, and enhances INCAT's position as a global leader in engineering services outsourcing by reinforcing our unique value proposition with even more cost-effective, domain-specific interoperability solutions for our clients," said INCAT CEO Warren Harris.
