FISHER/UNITECH and Configure One Form Strategic Partnership to Further Expand Businesses
FISHER/UNITECH has signed a multi-year agreement with Configure One to resell its Concept configurator software throughout the United States. The partnership is expected to further extend FISHER/UNITECH's leadership as a PLM software reseller and consulting organization. Configure One's Concept software is designed for manufacturing companies that create highly configurable or routinely customized products.
"Our customers will benefit from the combination of Configure One's robust configurator coupled with our experience and infrastructure for PLM solutions," said Charles Hess, president of FISHER/UNITECH . "Concept's web-based architecture and scalability make it a strategic solution that manufacturing companies can use to dramatically increase sales while reducing costs. Design automation can now be easily extended to dealers and consumers through its standard web interface."
Configure One's Concept configurator streamlines and automates much of the pre-manufacturing process and tackles very complex design rules. Concept acts as a 24/7 product expert, empowering end users to configure custom products by entering feature and option requirements online. Concept prevents users from choosing incompatible product options, ensuring configuration validity.
For manufacturing companies, Concept can be implemented to solve a wide variety of configuration challenges.
For each product being configured, Concept can produce bills of material, pricing and cost, quotations, images, sales and approval drawings, production drawings, virtual 3D models, routings and reports. For those companies needing to connect to CAD, Concept is compatible with SolidWorks and Pro/ENGINEER. Concept can be interfaced to any ERP/MRP system.
Concept makes the online ordering process intuitive for field sales, dealers and customers, with no training necessary. Companies who implement Concept normally see a 100% return on investment within 18 months.
