Agile Announces Agile Advantage 2006, Dramatically Expanding Its Leading PLM Solution for Small and Medium Enterprises
Agile Software Corporation announced Agile Advantage 2006, the latest version of its PLM solution suite for small and medium enterprise (SME) customers. Building on Agile Advantage's position as a leading PLM solution for SME customers, Agile Advantage 2006 now features Agile Product Compliance Management, Agile Standards Compliance Management, Agile Engineering Data eXchange, and enhanced security and search capabilities. The latest enhancements to Agile Advantage provide SMEs with greater visibility into the entire product lifecycle, thereby speeding product innovation, reducing product development costs, enhancing product quality, and driving overall profitability.
Recognizing the different needs of SMEs to compete in a global economy, Agile Advantage 2006 continues to deliver on the characteristics that have made Agile Advantage the leading PLM solution for small and medium size customers: ease of management, ease of implementation, quick time to benefit, low total cost of ownership, and flexible licensing options that take into account limited IT resources, including Agile OnDemand -- a Software as a Service (Saas) option -- as well as more traditional licensing.
Agile Advantage 2006 includes the following new solutions and functionality:
• Agile Product Compliance Management -- This new solution helps SMEs track material and substance information for each specific product concurrently against multiple compliance directives and environmental regulations. Easy and quick to implement, and requiring little special management, Product Compliance Management reduces compliance costs and business risks. • Agile Standards and Compliance Management -- This new solution helps SMEs easily manage product and program compliance, meeting standards and regulatory requirements with minimal disruption. Discrete modules track and maintain data related to:

FDA Title 21 CFR Part 11 Compliance
• Agile Engineering Data eXchange -- This new solution automates the engineering to manufacturing handoff, enables collaborative design reviews, and saves design times by leveraging existing design vaults. By publishing engineering bills of material directly from the engineer's CAD desktop (SolidWorks, Pro/ENGINEER, or Auto/CAD), time to market is improved by reducing the time and errors associated with manual transfers of information from CAD systems into Agile Advantage.
• Advanced Searching -- This enhanced capability speeds innovation and boosts productivity. Powerful search mechanisms including Search by Example, Smart Quick Search, Complex Advanced Search, and Full Text Search easily locate items, parts, and documents across multiple attributes and attachments simultaneously.
• Enhanced Data Extraction capabilities -- This capability enables powerful XML and CSV data extraction across all clients. An XML-based Web service for data extraction enables customers to access data from other applications.
• Enhanced Security Model -- Building on its industry-leading roles and privileges model, the enhanced security model allows search criteria to include user data. The benefit of this attribute is that users in the address book and user pick lists can now be shown or hidden on a per-user basis. This is a critical capability when allowing access to multiple external partners
• Support for Oracle 10g -- This capability enables SME customers to take advantage of the latest improvements to the Oracle database, further enhancing Agile Advantage's industry-leading scalability.
• Customized Email Notification Template -- This capability enables creation of customized email templates for various workflow states and event notifications, so customers can easily customize email notifications to users and contacts.
