TransMagic 2006 Ships with Direct SolidWorks Support; NGRAIN Format Added, Updated Support for CATIA V5 R16, STEP AP214

TransMagic, Inc. announced the release of the TransMagic 2006 product line with new direct support for SolidWorks part and assembly files. TransMagic 2006 also offers updated support for CATIA V5 R16 and a new option to write 3D models in the NGRAIN file format for use within NGRAIN software products.

New features and enhancements in the TransMagic 2006 release include:

-- Native support for SolidWorks part (*.sldprt) and assembly (*.sldasm) files is now available for all TransMagic products.

-- Support for the CATIA V5 R16 part and assembly files has been updated.

-- TransMagic has added to all their translation software products the ability to export files in the NGRAIN *.3ko format. NGRAIN software products support installation, maintenance and repair training on complex equipment.

-- TransMagic users can now choose STEP output in either the AP203 or AP214 format.

-- TransMagic's new Colorize function saves significant time by facilitating repair operations to convert complex surface models into "solid" models. This is very useful when dealing with IGES and CATIA assembly files.

"As SolidWorks grows in popularity, there are an increasing number of requests for TransMagic to support SolidWorks files," remarked Todd Reade, President of TransMagic, Inc. "As a result, we have made native SolidWorks file support available in all of our viewing and translation products."
