Clearvision Partners with CollabNet to Address Rapidly Growing Market for On-Demand Distributed Development and Application Lifecycle Management

CollabNet announced that Clearvision PLC, Europe's leading independent specialist for software change management (SCM), has become a charter member of the new CollabNet Global Business Partner Program.

The new CollabNet channel program is the industry's first partner enablement offering that specifically targets developers of Software as a Service (SaaS), Service Oriented Architecture (SOA) and other on-demand, Internet-based software and applications.

"Clearvision chose to partner with CollabNet because the combination of superior CollabNet products and services together with their comprehensive Global Partner Program gives us a clear competitive advantage in the market," said Gerry Tombs, Managing Director of Clearvision. "CollabNet on-demand solutions ensure we are able to respond quickly to our customers' software development and configuration management requirements. Together with CollabNet, we are able to support our customers' needs by allowing virtual software development teams to communicate, reuse software assets, share knowledge, track issues and defects, and work with third parties in a secure, Web-based collaborative environment."

Expanding its leadership role in the growing market for next-generation distributed development and change management solutions, CollabNet is partnering with software change management experts and other leaders in the development of applications, embedded software, and complex systems. These CollabNet alliances equip partners to provide next-generation, on-demand distributed development and application lifecycle management services that are far easier and more cost-effective to implement than conventional installed development products.

"We are delighted to welcome Clearvision to the CollabNet Global Business Partner Program," said Chris Clabaugh, Vice President of Business Development for CollabNet. "Our new program is designed to equip our reseller, community, technology and services business partners with the business and technical resources to address the vast, largely untapped and rapidly growing market for distributed development. We expect that CollabNet, together with our valued business partners, can garner a significant share of one of the most enticing markets to emerge so far this century: Distributed Development On Demand."

The new CollabNet Global Business Partner Program is a channel empowerment program aimed at expanding the market for distributed development delivered as a service. This multi-faceted program is based on the recognition that many development organizations are being asked to provide global distributed development services, which represent an expanded market opportunity. The CollabNet program is custom tailored to the business requirements and long-term market vision of CollabNet partners. Initial program offerings cover demand generation and sales acceleration, joint marketing and communications, technical resources, support, and training.
