Agile Expands Compliance, Product Portfolio, Product Collaboration and Quality Management Capabilities in Latest Version of Leading PLM Solution

Agile Software Corporation announced that Agile 9.2, the latest version of its next generation release for managing the enterprise product record throughout the product lifecycle, will be generally available on December 19, 2005. This latest release features enhanced overall functionality and expands on the solution's compliance, product portfolio, product collaboration and quality management modules. The Agile PLM solution will also support the Linux operating system, enhancing flexibility, improving intellectual property security, and reducing total cost of ownership for the company's over 10,000 global customers.

With a focus on overall functionality, the enhanced Agile PLM solution includes the following upgrades to reflect Agile's 10,000 worldwide customers' needs:

Agile Delivers Expanded Functionality

-- Agile Product Governance and Compliance -Agile's solution to help organizations manage product and program compliance against standards and regulatory requirements, now provides expanded capabilities to manage Bill of Substance information and rollup compliance information using a variety of scenarios. It also delivers improved supplier declaration capability and regulatory information to ensure effective compliance throughout enterprise operations. In addition, PG&C also includes upgraded Bill of Substance adapters for Agile partners -PartMiner, i2 technologies, Avent, and Arrow-enabling suppliers powerful environmental standards declaration tools. With immediate and extensive supplier and regulatory information, organizations will now be better equipped to meet environmental regulation standards such as the Waste of Electronic and Electrical Equipment (WEEE) directive and the Restrictions of Hazardous Substance (ROHS) regulations.

-- Agile Product Portfolio Management -This out-of-the-box solution now includes executive portfolio analytics and bi-directional integration with Microsoft Project, enabling organizations to optimize their product development investments by providing tightly synchronized program and product information, maximized resource utilization, and cross-program visibility and decision support throughout the product lifecycle. Agile's extensive portfolio analytics include time to market, financial, resources pool, program and issues tracking.

-- Agile Product Collaboration -In Agile 9.2, the suite's flagship solution adds enhanced change collaboration and document management capabilities, providing each stakeholder in the extended design and supply chain secure access to critical product record data, including bills of material, attributes, manufacturers, configurations, specifications, documents, models, work instructions, revisions and more.

-- Improved Global Interface -To meet the growing number of organizations with worldwide operations and extended global supply chains, Agile now offers its PLM portfolio completely localized in six different languages: English, French, German, Japanese, traditional Chinese, and simplified Chinese.

-- Introduces Agile Product Quality Management -In addition to the above product enhancements, Agile has renamed its Agile Product Service and Improvement solution Agile Product Quality Management in order to better align Agile technology with customer needs. The solution also now includes advanced analytics capabilities to drive improved product quality and customer satisfaction by tightly integrating customer, product, quality and regulatory information within a closed-loop corrective action system. Agile Product Quality Management enables companies to fulfill customer demands for higher quality, faster response and compliance with regulatory requirements.

-- Linux Support -Agile adds the Linux open source operating system to its list of supported environments. The addition of the Linux operating system will enhance flexibility, improve intellectual property security, and reduce total cost of ownership for the company's over 10,000 global customers. Agile will support Red Hat Linux AS version 4.0, the core operating system and infrastructure enterprise Linux solution for business-critical applications.
