CAD Schroer Partners with INAS to Bring Powerful, Integrated Drafting Support to Pro/ENGINEER® Customers in Romania and throughout the Balkan Region

CAD Schroer GmbH (CSG), whose STHENO/PROT drafting plug-in for Pro/ENGINEER offers a powerful integrated data management solution, recently expanded its reach into the Balkans by concluding a reseller agreement with INAS, Romania's first wholly owned Research and Design Institute for mechanical engineering and IT consulting.

CAD Schroer GmbH (CSG), the engineering solutions provider known for its MEDUSA4T and STHENO/PROT MCAD software suites, has a strong European presence with offices in Germany, France, Switzerland and the United Kingdom. "Offering local, friendly, and technically competent advice to our customers has always been our fundamental strength," says Michael Schroer, founding Director of the company that has grown from strength to strength since its beginnings as a CAD-based engineering services provider in 1986.

New Partners in Key Locations

Its extensive reseller network, which subscribes to the same ethos, already covers much of the globe, but there is plenty of room for growth in specific countries and market niches. "Our latest partner drive focuses on suppliers to Pro/ENGINEER® customers, who recognize STHENO/PRO as an unrivalled solution", Michael continues, "This month we are pleased to welcome INAS, a very professional and technically competent, rapidly expanding service provider in Romania, one of Europe's key locations."

About INAS

Romania, which became a member of NATO in March 2004 and joined the EU accession treaty in April of this year, is the largest of the Balkan countries, one of whose major exports is machinery.

INAS, which was established in 1991 and has its origins in the aviation industry, has offices in Craiova and Bucharest. An established technical consulting centre in the field of CAD/CAM/CAE, INAS provides design and engineering services and solutions for a wide spectrum of industrial applications, from automotive and heavy equipment to nuclear and defense. They include production management and control, design, stress analysis, design optimization and engineering simulations. INAS also offers training and technical support for the implementation of integrated information systems.

"We are very excited about the new relationship with CAD Schroer," explains Eugen Stefaneanus, INAS' Managing Director, "As a provider of Pro/ENGINEER, Windchill® and Pro/INTRALINK®, we see STHENO/PRO as the ideal drafting and data management solution for our Pro/E customer base. It replaces legacy systems that don't sit well with a company's overall product development strategy, offering one homogeneous data management solution. Then there is the added benefit of very powerful and intuitive drafting functionality, ideal for design tasks where 2D is more efficient and cost effective."

INAS' customers include some of the world's most well-known car manufacturers, as well as the European Union. Closer to home, INAS works on projects for Romanian R&D, manufacturing and defense organizations.

"No matter which corner of the globe you visit, design engineers have much in common: they need competent advice, backed by reliable, efficient, integrated tools that work the way engineers do - freeing, rather than restricting, creativity." Michael Schroer concludes, "STHENO/PRO has managed to capture the imagination of customers throughout the world, precipitating our move for further expansion. We are always pleased to find partners who, as leaders in their field, share our passion for friendly and competent customer support, providing real added value to any systems implementation."
