PARTsolutions Connects Suppliers with Autodesk Users Worldwide
PARTsolutions® LLC announced that it has formed a strategic partnership with Autodesk to deliver global supplier digital parts catalogs for the new Autodesk Manufacturing Supplier Content Center. This Autodesk initiative brings supplier content right to the desktop of Autodesk users, with PARTsolutions also providing direct download of those parts in native Autodesk formats, including Autodesk Inventor®, AutoCAD® and Mechanical Desktop®.
PARTsolutions' expertise, experience, and technology provide Autodesk with the ability to host a 'live' community of worldwide suppliers. The suppliers keep their product catalogs up-to-date with changes, and add new products to the catalogs while PARTsolutions brings new suppliers into the community.
This partnership will enable Autodesk users to eliminate many of the manual, error-prone, time consuming steps in the product design process. The ability for engineers to access this content in their native format, right from their desktop creates tremendous efficiencies by assuring that accurate, orderable components are woven into engineers' designs from the beginning, freeing them up to focus on innovating and bringing their products to market faster.
