PLM Competence Network: Successful Information Events in Düsseldorf (Germany), Linz (Austria) and Stuttgart (Germany)
Almost 200 visitors visited the PCN Information Days offered by the PLM Competence Network in Düsseldorf (Germany), Linz (Austria), and Stuttgart (Germany) under the motto "mySAP® PLM and product development - Experiences from practice". A mutual special lecture on the subjects "document management", "project management", "CAD data exchange", and "mechatronic integration" accompanied this. Additionally, representatives of the organizer reported about new developments and trends.
The automotive company Tenneco and Siegenia-Aubi informed about project and operating experiences with mySAP® PLM in the areas CAD integration, document management and change management. Economic and secure document distribution was the subject of a contribution from Maschinenfabrik Reinhausen. The company Heidelberger Druckmaschinen reported about the successful support of the change processes with SAP® Records Management. Each information event ended with a presentation of the SAP AG on the subject "NPDI - From the idea to the product".
The feedback on the information day invitations for Linz was also very positive and the participants stated, that they were highly satisfied about the events. Hirschmann Automotive, Engel Maschinenbau and Neuson-Kramery, well-known national enterprises, contributed practice reports.
PCN is a group of competent companies, .riess engineering, DSC, Cenit, IDS Scheer, ILC PROSTEP, and SEAL Systems. The first PCN Information Day took place in 1999. Since then more than 1500 customers, interested people, and partners have visited the Information Day with changing program every year. The PCN Competence Network started as a virtual enterprise to strengthen the organization idea "Product data management with SAP R/3®". After many effective implementations, practice themes became more and more important. The feedback of the visitor shows: a special interest is present for credible application reports. In addition to this, the launching and demonstration of new products and solutions around mySAP® PLM is highly appreciated.
