Actify Visualisation Capabilities Added to CIM DATABASE
Actify Inc . announced that its SpinFire visualization software is incorporated into the latest version of CIM DATABASE from CONTACT Software GmbH as part of an agreement between CONTACT Software and Actify distributor Kisters . CIM DATABASE customers will also benefit from consultancy services and support from Kisters.
Actify SpinFire is incorporated into version 2.9.5 of CONTACT Software's product data management solution. SpinFire addresses the collaboration needs of workgroups and design teams within manufacturing corporations enabling users to securely share and access product information held in multiple native CAD formats without the need for complex or costly CAD software.
Hanns Kisters, member of the Kisters Board of Directors comments, "Kisters is delighted that its close relationship with both Actify and CONTACT Software will result in benefits for CIM DATABASE users. By extending access to design data to employees who may not have CAD software on their desktops, Actify simultaneously helps foster collaboration and streamline the product development process."

Frank Patz, head of software development at CONTACT says, "We decided to incorporate Actify SpinFire into CIM DATABASE due to the wide range of CAD systems and data formats it supports and because of the availability of expert support from Kisters." Formats supported by Actify SpinFire include CATIA V4/V5, ProENGINEER, Unigraphics, SolidWorks, SolidEdge and Inventor and data formats including JT, VRML, VDAFS and STEP.
Kisters AG will be exhibiting solutions from Actify at Euromold, Frankfurt Germany, 30 November to 3 December, in Hall 8.0, booth B86. CONTACT Software will demonstrate the new version of CIM DATABASE including the SpinFire solution at Euromold in Hall 6.0, booth C114.
