CADzation Partners with Autodesk to Reduce Costs of Legacy File Conversion

CADzation announced the release of AcroPlot Auto and the extension of their partnership with Autodesk. This enhanced partnership through the DWF Partner Program is a continuation of the two companies' shared goal of improving efficiencies for AEC, manufacturing, and government entities. CADzation provides customers with innovative conversion solutions for dated design formats, among other innovative solutions, designed to improve cost and work efficiencies.

As design teams have gotten bigger, jobs more complex, and communication more geographically dispersed, organizations are challenged to share design information on a common platform. AcroPlot Auto helps solve this challenge by batch-converting the most common file types, including DWG, PLT, TIFF, CALS, and GP4, that AEC, manufacturing and governments have in their archives to the more common industry standard, DWF. Companies can now increase efficiencies by utilizing a single file format for distribution, collaboration, printing and archiving. By updating archived documents companies can reduce software support and maintenance costs associated with dated legacy software applications.

"Customers continually ask for conversion of older files to DWF because of its data-rich content, yet compact, manageable size," said Rodney McManamy, CADzation president and founder. "We have been intimately involved in creating DWF files since we were formed in 2001, making our partnership with Autodesk a natural fit as we launch AcroPlot Auto."

AcroPlot Auto has successfully been deployed at over 20 separate companies and converted over one million files throughout test phases, ultimately making customers more cost-effective.

"We share a vision of increased efficiencies across product and project workflows with CADzation and are confident in the technology they are able to deliver to our shared customers," said Jonathon Knowles, director of worldwide market development with Autodesk. "AcroPlot Auto gives our customers the opportunity to cut costs by easily converting archived files to current industry standards, such as DWF."

DWF is the foundation for digital design workflows. It enables designers to share accurate, data-rich design information with project teams at any point in the project lifecycle-at a fraction of the original size. By using DWF, organizations are able to efficiently and securely share 2D and 3D designs while minimizing errors, costs, and information loss through the process. AcroPlot Auto is the workhorse that can convert entire drives of drawings to DWF files, which anyone can view, read and print without costly proprietary viewing software. AcroPlot Auto can run continuously to convert AutoCAD formats as they are updated or can run at scheduled times to convert files when a user's computer is not being used. FTP capability also allows the program to automatically upload to a website. For more information on AcroPlot Auto visit http://www.cadzation.com/acroplotauto.htm .

CADzation was formed in 2001 to provide customization solutions for CAD systems to improve work efficiencies. CADzation was the first company to provide batch Word and AutoCAD conversion to DWF and for years now our customers have been saving money by utilizing our AcroPlot family of products.
