Hummingbird Becomes Spicer Global Reseller and Integration Partner
Spicer Corporation announced Hummingbird Ltd. as a new authorized international Spicer reseller. With several years of partnering through Hummingbird's Alliance Network, Spicer and Hummingbird take the next step in providing content management solutions designed to help Government, Manufacturing, Insurance, Utilities, Law Enforcement, and Records Management markets. With the new reseller relationship, Hummingbird becomes an international channel and integration partner and will distribute and provide customer support for Hummingbird-Spicer integrations worldwide.
Hummingbird EnterpriseT DM is a secure and highly intuitive system that provides the power to control information throughout global organizations. Specifically, it serves as the core information management platform for the Hummingbird Enterprise content management system, delivering a centralized repository, with feature-rich functionality, that works in tandem with other modules for collaboration, instant messaging, workflow, records management, reporting and analysis, and much more.
Spicer imaging products-Imagenation® (for the desktop) and Image a.XT (OEM toolkit)-extend Hummingbird DM with universal viewing and markup capabilities for MS Office, PDF, DWF, 2D/3D CAD, TIF, web formats and hundreds of other online file types. Users can easily access and review virtually any electronic file from the Hummingbird repository throughout all stages of the document lifecycle.
With Spicer, Hummingbird users benefit from a seamless connection between enterprise content and enterprise business processes. Moreover, Spicer universal viewing capabilities eliminate the added time and expense of loading and learning the native software applications that were used to create the original files.
Spicer universal viewers enable Hummingbird users to:
• Securely view, redact, and mark up hundreds of electronic file formats from across the enterprise without changing the original file
• Display externally referenced files (X-refs)
• Check in markups and reference files
• Extend Hummingbird DM security to printed documents with custom stamps and other advanced print capabilities that include banners, tiling, scaling orientation, and print-as-displayed.
• Establish or correct reference links that may be missing
• Securely manage markups within Hummingbird DM
