Flomerics Announces the Release of FLOPACK 6.1
Major performance boost in the generation of compact models : Generate your compact models up to 8X faster with FLOPACK's new enhanced hardware and software configuration.
New package families : FLOPACK continues to support new package families with every release. This release further enhances our offering of discrete/power package portfolio with the addition of smartparts for:
• TO-252 (DPAK))
• SOT-89
• In addition, the TO-263 smartpart now supports two-resistor and DELPHI compact models.
Sanity checks on package wizard inputs : All package smartpart wizard input fields now have automatic sanity checks for the data you input. Minimize typos and other errors with this new feature.
Material Library now has a Search feature .
New look-and-feel : FLOPACK V6.1 has a new web template which enhances the user experience.

• Flip-chip bump height accounted for in Compact Component smartpart for Delphi model.
• Encapsulant flush with die in Flip-Chip PBGA gives the correct compact model.
• Via depopulation tool can now handle via arrays larger than 20X20
• Checkbox for Central Balls checkbox in ChipArray package now works.
• JEDEC test env 2S2P board layers corrected
• Bad cases error flag (for bad compact jobs). Job queue is resumed, and email is sent to user.
• TO-263 center lead is now always fused.
• Cold Plate Temp monitor point in Theta-JC Test Environment cases is now positioned correctly (inside the cold plate).
• Theta-JB test cold plate and ambient temperatures equalized.
• Radiation from a package placed on a PCB is now calculated more accurately
• 16 new mold compound (resin) materials added.
• Improved default rules for grid constraints on JEDEC Standard Test Environments.
• Theta-JC Environments now come with a default 1S0P PCB rather than a 2S2P. This will reduce parasitic heat loss to the PCB, and thus give a more accurate Theta-JC value.
• Library items in workbench are now indexed by Last Date Modified by default, showing the most recently created part first.
