Primavera® Recognizes Six World-Class Customers With 2005 Excellence Awards at Annual Conference
Primavera Systems, Inc. announced the winners of the 2005 Primavera® Excellence Awards at its 22nd Annual Conference in Lake Buena Vista, Florida. The awards recognize customers for their outstanding accomplishments in delivering value and efficiency to their organizations. The Primavera Excellence Awards were presented in six categories, including Engineering and Construction; Financial Services; Hi-Tech/Telecom/ Services; Power, Energy and Process; Public Government; and Public Construction Owner.
Hill International was the recipient of the Primavera Excellence Award for Engineering and Construction. Hill has increased productivity 65 percent by using Primavera to shorten planning durations.
Progressive Insurance Company was awarded the Primavera Excellence Award for Financial Services. Through its use of Primavera, Progressive has perfected its processes to align IT projects with business priorities by adding critical metrics and enhancing management capabilities. Most recently, Progressive has successfully integrated the Agile Development Methodology into their environment, allowing the entire portfolio of projects to be managed with one tool, Primavera.
Ericsson was chosen as the winner of the Primavera Excellence Award for Hi-Tech/Telecom/ Services. Using Primavera, Ericsson was able to improve resource planning, allocation and forecasting through expanded visibility into opportunities and resources.
Kuwait National Petroleum Company (KNPC) is the worldwide winner of the Primavera Excellence Award for Power, Energy and Process. KNPC expects an annual savings of $21.5 million through the use of an integrated project management system implemented across turnaround, capital projects and routine maintenance divisions. Based on Primavera, Oracle e-business suite and Maximo Enterprise Edition, the integrated system helps to accurately forecast costs, schedules and resources throughout all phases of project planning, through project completion.
The U.S. Office of Personnel Management (OPM) was the recipient of the Primavera Excellence Award for Public Government. Using Primavera, OPM was able to create a common business process and streamline reporting mechanisms for executives. OPM managers are now better equipped to make more informed and timely decisions.
The Los Angeles Unified School District (LAUSD) was the recipient of the Primavera Excellence Award for Public Construction Owner. Using Primavera, LAUSD has instituted automated processes and eliminated time spent in manual data entry. The organization reduced reporting and issues resolution durations by 88 percent and reduced time spent making changes to data by 67 percent.
