Cimmetry Announces Energy Industry Initiative at Documentum's Momentum Las Vegas 2005
Cimmetry Systems Corporation, an Agile Software Corporation company, will be presenting how its Collaborative Visualization solution is applied to the energy sector at Documentum's Momentum 2005 conference in Las Vegas next week. Cimmetry Systems and Bechtel Corporation will be presenting, "Facilitating Supply Chain Collaboration Using EMC Documentum and Cimmetry Systems AutoVue," on Thursday, October 27 at 11:30 a.m. Cimmetry's Energy Industry solution is built on the success of Energy sector enterprise customers who have deployed the AutoVue Collaborative Visualization solution integrated with leading document management platforms including Documentum, OpenText, FileNet, Hummingbird, and SAP.
Cimmetry is partnering with a global network of system integrators, VARs and OEMs specializing in the energy sector, such as Trinity Technologies, to take advantage of AutoVue's ability to be deeply integrated with customer business processes.
By replacing paper-based processes with AutoVue's electronic collaborative visualization capabilities, organizations are able to collapse project timelines and effectively disperse work electronically to multiple departments, divisions, and geographic regions. The fully electronic solution for distributed engineering and remote facilities management produces a significant change in how projects can be managed as well as improving compliance, record keeping and quality assurance.
Industry giant, Bechtel, has been employing AutoVue's collaborative visualization solutions to help it deploy distributed engineering practices world-wide since 1996. Joe Skebe, Bechtel's Software Architect sees the energy industry moving away from paper-based processes and more toward electronic delivery. "More projects are going from start to finish entirely on the computer, even as information is communicated from office to office or country to country. AutoVue makes it not only possible but practical to work with resources located in different parts of the country, and different parts of the world."
Trinity Technologies specializes in Energy Industry solutions and is a Select Services Team (SST) member, an elite group of highly-qualified partners under the banner of EMC Documentum Consulting. Trinity has been a Documentum Signature Partner since 1997 and is a Documentum 5 Migration Partner. Shiraz Jaffer, VP of Operations of Trinity Technologies explains that, "Energy Industry customers commonly have requirements that go beyond basic viewing of Office type document formats and AutoVue provides both the additional support of CAD file formats as well as advanced integration capabilities, which have been critical to our customer deployments."
