ThermalTech Engineering Adopts Citadon CW to Speed Completion of Engineering Projects

ThermalTech Engineering, Inc., provider of design, construction and operations solutions for facility, utility and industrial process projects, has signed a licensing agreement with Citadon® Inc ., provider of integrated Web-based collaboration, document management and business process management solutions. Under the terms of the agreement, ThermalTech will apply Citadon's Collaboration Workspace (CW) Web-based collaboration technology to bring together project stakeholders to speed time-to-completion and promote greater accountability among various project contributors.

"ThermalTech has built its reputation on delivering high-performance systems design," said Jeremy Holland, Citadon project manager for ThermalTech. "By adopting Citadon CW, we have been able to speed time-to-completion for our clients by keeping the entire design and construction team on the same page. Citadon allows us to deliver the best quality design and promote greater team accountability on behalf of our clients by automating approval processes and maintaining an organized data flow with checks and balances at each step."

ThermalTech is using Citadon CW to bring strategic partners together to share plans and tactical data and track approvals for each stage of a project. Using Citadon CW as a secure Web-accessible workspace, ThermalTech brings together teams of architects and contractors to share project information and manage every aspect of a project from design through construction. More importantly, Citadon CW helps ThermalTech eliminate bottlenecks from missed deadlines due to confusion over change management and approvals. It has also enabled ThermalTech to shorten response times to RFIs (requests for information) and submittals. As a result, ThermalTech's clients' projects are completed on time or ahead of schedule, and they have an electronic trail to encourage accountability and provide documentation to facilitate proactive long-term operation and maintenance.

ThermalTech is configuring Citadon CW to adapt to various business processes. The engineering team has created configured RFI and submittal processes to automate and track client responses. Online "binders" make it easy for contractors and design partners to access essential documents without having to root through subfolders or dealing with duplicate documents. Permission settings also make it easier to manage access to project data, and the easy-to-use CW interface shortens the learning curve for new partners.

"Our clients are realizing real value from Citadon CW because it enables us to minimize errors and speed approvals at each step of a project," Holland said. "We have already seen more than one project completed ahead of deadline, exceeding the client's expectations, thanks to Citadon CW."

"We developed Citadon CW with companies like ThermalTech in mind," said Chris French, Product Development Manager at Citadon. "The power of our online collaboration platform is in bringing together partners to deliver complex projects, such as facility and utility systems, and shortening time to results with easily configured processes. By integrating information and business processes using CW, everyone wins!"
