Liquid Computing Implements Omnify Software for Product Lifecycle Management

Omnify Software announced Liquid Computing, an Ottawa, Canada and Los Altos, California-based company developing a new class of computing server, implemented Omnify PLM to provide collaboration, reduce development cycles and manage environmental compliance data for their ever-increasing and complex product design and development.

Liquid Computing knows the value PLM provides for an emerging company. After closely researching PLM vendors, it selected Omnify Software due to Omnify's offering of an affordable solution that is easy to implement (implementation was complete in 2 days) with a minimal learning curve for users, and scalability to grow as Liquid Computing grows. Equally important was Omnify's unique ability to directly integrate with Liquid Computing's engineering design environment, Cadence Concept®. The company is also leveraging Omnify to track, store and report RoHS compliance information to meet requirements for lead free directives.

"Prior to our introduction to Omnify Software, we were considering a free offer from a larger vendor," stated Kevin Stone, VP of Operations at Liquid Computing. "After viewing Omnify's capabilities it was apparent that we needed to reconsider our selection- Omnify supported our integration requirements, offered more useful features, and ultimately cost less than the competitive (free) product."

"We are excited to have another growing company like Liquid Computing as a customer and look forward to a long and mutually beneficial relationship," stated Chuck Cimalore, CTO for Omnify Software. "We are meeting more and more manufacturers like Liquid Computing who have experience with and recognize the value of a PLM system. These companies know what they want and turn to Omnify for its out-of-the-box solutions and open integration platform."

Liquid Computing produces highly available and scalable servers that can dynamically change to deliver any computing or communications task at best life-cycle economics. The company has offices in Ottawa, Canada and Los Altos, California. ( http://www.liquidcomputing.com )
