Synergis Technologies Celebrates 20 Years of Innovation and Service

Synergis Technologies, Inc. marked the 20th anniversary of its founding. With 67 employees, Synergis Technologies is comprised of two distinct divisions. The Engineering Design Solutions Division provides companies in the AEC, Manufacturing, Government, Education, and related industries with Autodesk software, training, professional services, and support. For these same industries, the Synergis Software Division develops and implements Synergis Adept, a comprehensive, data and document management system that solves the problems of organizations that need to find, manage, track and share engineering and business documents of all types between departments and remote or global design teams.

David B. Sharp, III founded the company in 1985 with a service-based philosophy that continues today. The saying that "the people are what make the company" is never truer than at Synergis where everyone is treated like family, including customers. "It is building and maintaining these strong, long term relationships that continue to make us successful," said Sharp.

Synergis' industry-leading customers include ASCO, BAE Systems, City of Philadelphia, W.L, Gore, United States Coast Guard, Ewing Cole, GAI Consultants, Gannett Fleming, Georgia Pacific, Kieran Timberlake, Lockheed Martin, Metso Minerals, PP&L, Pennsylvania Turnpike, Toll Brothers, United States Army Corps of Engineers, Wink Engineering, and more.

"I am pleased that we've had the chance to become a positive impact on our industry and community, and even more pleased that we have accomplished our goals with integrity," said Sharp. "We have given our employees the opportunity to be experts in industry specific software applications and to utilize their industry knowledge to solve our customers' challenges."

The Engineering Design Solutions Division's goal is to provide more specialized and industry-specific service and support to the building solutions market while focusing on growth in the manufacturing and geospatial industries. Awards include the exclusive Autodesk Platinum Club Award and the New Jersey Autodesk User Group Dealer of the Year Award. In 2005 the division was named a Premier Solutions Provider for Manufacturing Solutions and a Premier Solutions Provider A+ Academic Specialist by Autodesk.

The expertise of its Design Applications Engineers is unmatched. As an Autodesk Authorized Training Center, Synergis provides onsite customized and classroom training by Autodesk Certified Experts at five convenient locations including the Philadelphia AIA Learning Center.

Throughout the years, this privately-owned company has achieved many milestones. In 1988, the company developed one of the first AutoCAD-based document management systems. 1991 marked the introduction of Synergis Network FileManager (NFM), a multi-user network solution. The product began to win industry awards and certification for government standards. In 2001, Synergis changed the NFM name to Synergis Adept to reflect the product's reach beyond the network and Adept 4.0 was introduced. Adept continues to flourish today and garner much industry recognition. The success of the Adept product has reached a level that required the company to establish an independent and dedicated business division in 2004 to expand its document management solutions into new markets and address its customers growing business needs.

So what's ahead for the next 20 years? Sharp plans to "continue to do what we do best. Change the world one successful customer at a time."
