Free Theorem Seminar Highlights Implications of New Design Data Formats

A free ½ day seminar focusing on the capabilities and implications of new and emerging 'lightweight design data formats' will be run by CAD data exchange experts, Theorem Solutions Ltd on 9th November at Coventry Rugby Club.

Organized in response to feedback from more than 5000 PLM users surveyed by Theorem, the seminar will cover the origins of formats such as JT and 3DXML, as well as their current capabilities, potential applications and impact on supply chain communications, design and data exchange processes.

"More than 30% of all questionnaire recipients responded by requesting more information;" notes Theorem's Marketing Manager, Trevor Leeson, "underlining a huge level of interest in this subject.

"The seminar in Coventry will not be promoting any particular data format. Instead, we shall provide an impartial overview on anticipated developments. Furthermore, we shall lead discussions on the implications of the new formats and how they might work within existing PLM environments."

"Several automotive OEMS are giving serious consideration to the use of lightweight formats as a means of communicating with their supply chains," adds Theorem's General Manager, Keith Jeacock. "Interest is also growing throughout the aerospace sector too. Our free seminar will therefore provide engineers with the opportunity to gain a balanced appreciation of developments, along with an insight into the solutions to some of the challenges that lay ahead."

The seminar takes place at the conference facilities of Coventry Rugby Club, and is timed to avoid rush hour traffic congestion. Registration is from 9.30 am, with proceedings concluding at 12.30 pm.

Anyone requiring further information on this free seminar, or wishing to reserve a place, can register their interest by emailing: marketing@theorem.co.uk . Places are limited and will be allocated on a 'first come, first served' basis.
