Next IAI-IFC and STEP/PLCS/RDL Workshop for Implementations

If you and your team need to improve data interoperability between partners and customers, here is the opportunity. Use ISO TC 184/SC4 standards and open, publicly available object definitions in your next CAD/PLM/ERP project.

These workshops are relevant for engineers doing data exchange, sharing and web based product model server implementations based on IAI/STEP/PLCS/RDL   and other standards making use of the Express (ISO 10303-11) data modeling language.

IAI/IFC and CIS/2 compatible simulation software is now commercially available and presents the opportunity for the property and construction industry to test building information models (BIM) for cost effectiveness, environmental impact, construction planning, life cycle costing and access to a central asset management register for facilities managers.

Class 3: EXPRESS / SDAI / EXPRESS-X Implementation Course

This class gives a well balanced introduction to implementation methods and the objective is to make the student able to interface existing or new applications with STEP and learn to make use of the SDAI and EXPRESS-X functionalities.

Expected benefits: Ability to develop own EXPRESS data models; implement data models; integrate data exchange packages through mapping with EXPRESS-X; and validate data.

Target Audience: Data modelers, application developers, CAX and PDM managers

Recommended background: A good understanding of programming and the EXPRESS language.
