Newark InOne Goes Live With New Endeca-Powered Punchout/Roundtrip Website
Newark InOne, a leading small-quantity distributor of electronic components and test equipment in North America and a subsidiary of global Premier Farnell plc, has launched a new Punchout/Roundtrip site for its eProcurement customers, offering them the same advantages that its http://www.newarkinone.com website provides: access to more than 2.1 million electronic products and improved capabilities such as parametric search, advanced search, navigation by attributes and a Bill of Material upload.
The site's new search capabilities, powered by a next-generation product search and Guided Navigation® solution from Endeca, produce fast and accurate product results, which can then be compared and sorted by any of over hundreds of desirable dimensions, attributes or criteria. While presented in a familiar parametric search interface, the search engine allows design engineers and buyers to find products in ways not possible through competitive services and avoid the pitfalls of traditional parametric solutions. eProcurement customers, as a result, can now intuitively interact with the data to find the right products that meet unique design needs and discover relevant new products that they may not have known were even available. The solution is part of Endeca's recently launched Manufacturing & Distribution Search Solutions, a combination of information retrieval applications and services expertise tailored for manufacturing and supplier environments.
In addition, the improved "Favorites" interface allows buyers to more easily manage projects, kits and stockroom data.
