Pathtrace and Mori-Seiki Announce Collaboration Plans
Pathtrace, developers of EdgeCAM, and Mori-Seiki, the industry leading Machine Tool vendor, have announced collaboration plans to provide factory approved post processors for the Mori-Seiki range of Mill/Turn products.
As part of this collaboration, EdgeCAM will be shown on the Mori-Seiki booth and used to program demonstration parts at major trade shows. The first results from the collaboration were shown at EMO in Hannover in September, where EdgeCAM was demonstrated programming the latest Mori-Seiki NT Mill/Turn machine tools.
In addition, Pathtrace will supply EdgeCAM to the Mori-Seiki technical centers in the USA, an extension to the current arrangement where software has been supplied to Mori-Seiki in both the UK and Japan.
David Boucher, Marketing Director at Pathtrace comments, "Mill/Turn machines deliver huge productivity benefits but are more complex to program. By working with Mori-Seiki we are able to provide our mutual customers an EdgeCAM solution tailored to the latest generation of Mill/Turn Mori-Seiki machines and this will significantly reduce lead-time in implementing new Mill/Turn technology".
Dr. Fujishima, Development Director for Mori-Seiki adds, "By working with leading CAM software vendors such as Pathtrace, we are able to give our customers the assurance that there is a programming solution available to meet their needs when investing in our latest generation NT range of Mill/Turn machines."
