Engineous Software to Host Over 300 at International Symposium and Workshops in Detroit, Michigan; FIPER 2.0 and iSIGHT-FD Launched and Demonstrated at the Event
Engineous Software announced the kick-off of their 2005 International Symposium and Workshops in Detroit, Michigan. The event is targeted to draw over 300 attendees and 25 exhibitors from around the world, including Global 500 representatives from the automotive, aerospace, electronics and heavy industry markets, as well as thought leaders from universities and industry analysts.
This year's event features over 25 presentations with keynote addresses from Dr. Richard Sun, Senior Manager of the Aero/Thermal Center of Competence and Core CFD Group, DaimlerChrysler; Professor Panos Papalambros, University of Michigan; Hans Zimmer, CEO, SFE GmbH; and Florence Hudson, IBM Vice President. Topics to be addressed range from the latest innovation in product design frameworks, breakthroughs in design collaboration, and the latest developments in robust design technologies.
"We chose 'Hitting the Target' as the theme for this year's event because it represents how our product solutions are becoming critical success factors to enable our customers to continue to hit their product design goals in a highly competitive and rapidly changing market place," said Janet C. Wylie, President and CEO of Engineous. "We have spent the last year conducting extensive surveys with our customers so we continue to meet their needs. We will use this year's event to showcase our product and partner roadmap to illustrate how we plan to hit our targets as well."
This event in Detroit comes on the heels of one of Engineous' largest events to date. The annual CAO Frontier conference held on September 12th and 13th, 2005 in Yokohama, Japan, drew nearly 350 attendees and 35 exhibitors. Keynote speakers included Peter Evans of Airbus UK and Syuichi Ishii of Toshiba.
Engineous will also use the 2005 Symposium to demonstrate and announce the launch of FIPER 2.0, and a new product release-iSIGHT-FD. FIPER 2.0 represents the latest major release of Engineous' infrastructure product with a focus on security, reliability and larger scale deployment. iSIGHT-FD is the latest offering in the iSIGHT product line, a desktop product with a highly visual, intuitive set of interfaces targeted at engineers who are not experts either in process integration or design optimization. In addition, applications built with iSIGHT-FD are scalable and seamless with the FIPER infrastructure, allowing desktop users to be connected together in an integrated product design environment.
Engineous Software, Inc. provides engineering design integration and optimization software solutions and services. The company's flagship product, iSIGHT, enables organizations to explore more design alternatives in less time, reduce production costs, decrease time-to-market, and create innovative design alternatives. Its FIPER product is a web-based, distributed engineering process infrastructure that allows organizations to access, execute, and reuse design tools and processes. Resources can be connected within an organization or through a global network of external partners and geographically dispersed design teams. Founded in 1996, Engineous operates numerous sales offices in the U.S., as well as wholly owned subsidiaries in Asia and Europe.
