Sierra Design Automation Joins ARM Connected Community

Sierra Design Automation announced it is a new member in the ARM® Connected Community. As part of the ARM Connected Community, Sierra will gain access to a full range of resources to help it market and deploy innovative solutions that will enable developers to get their ARM Powered® products to market faster.

"ARM is one of the leading providers of embedded processor cores and physical IP for high-performance and low-power applications," said Sudhakar Jilla, director of Marketing, Sierra Design Automation Inc. "At 90nm and below, design and process variations typically lead to unplanned iterations, unpredictable schedules, and lost performance. Many of our mutual customers are already using ARM® processors and physical IP in the Sierra Pinnacle-based implementation flows to address such issues. Sierra Pinnacle, industry's premier and customer proven design-for-variability solution comprehensively analyzes and optimizes for multiple modes and corners through the flow to deliver the best quality of results for the biggest chips in the shortest times. As an ARM Connected Community Partner, we will ensure continued mutual customer successes when using ARM processors and physical IP in Sierra Pinnacle-based design flows."

The ARM Connected Community is a global network of companies aligned to provide a complete solution, from design to manufacture and end use, for products based on the ARM architecture. ARM offers a variety of resources to Community members, including promotional programs and peer-networking opportunities that enable a variety of ARM Partners to come together to provide end-to-end customer solutions.

The ARM Connected Community also enables Sierra to utilize the ARM Connected Community logo, which is an easy way for customers to recognize that Sierra has proven their commitment and expertise in support of the ARM architecture.

"By joining the ARM Connected Community, which now comprises more than 300 companies, Sierra Design Automation increases the large portfolio of skills, products and services that are centered around the ARM architecture, and currently available to developers worldwide," said Mary Inglis, director of Alliances for ARM.
